This contemporary rear box extension to the existing house featuring striking floor to ceiling glazing, bi-folding doors and roof light creates the bright, open and light filled main living and social space which the clients sought for their family home. The client’s brief required a refurbishment of the existing modest sized kitchen with a living space extension to open-up the rear of the house. The completed extension design uses extensive glazing to heighten the connection with the garden creating a feeling of tranquillity, whilst the level threshold through the bi-folding doors to the external area extends the new living space to the outside enhancing the sense of space and light within the new living area.
