CASTLE VETERINARY HOSPITAL, DOWNPATRICK CO. DOWN

COMMERCIAL ARCHITECTURE PROJECT.

This project won The William Keown Award and was shortlisted for the RICS Awards 2016 in the Commercial and Regeneration categories.

This urban regeneration project involved the construction of a new purpose built Veterinary Hospital with significant associated site works on Church Street, Downpatrick. The main two storey block of the building addressing the streetscape is a simple and traditional form with a scale and material palette respecting the surrounding built context. The combination with contemporary detailing, elements and materials creates a modern aesthetic to this state of the art facility.
